Let’s be honest, being a woman is amazing but periods suck. Periods include cramps, discomfort, pain, bloat, sleepless nights, the heightened risk of wearing white and so much more.

If you are anything like me, you will do just about anything to get relief during ‘your time of the month’. If you are also anything like me, you have probably tried several of the hundred products that are marketed to women that claim to offer period relief.

I have tried creams, diet and life style changes, machines, pills, potions and more. And as much as Midol works, I still didn’t love the idea of popping pills or using unnatural substances on my body to treat such a natural cycle of my body.

Until I found Myrcene dominant strains. Myrcene totally changed my period game.

Myrcene is a terpene that is found in Cannabis. Terpenes are non-psychoactive hydrocarbons that can be found in a multitude of plants and fruit. On the cannabis plant, myrcene grows on the plants trichomes alongside the cannabinoid’s THC and CBD.

B-Myrcene is also found in mango, lemongrass, hops and has an “earthy” profile that smells like red-grape, balsamic and a hint of spice. B-Myrcene or Myrcene is also known to have surprising medical benefits. The plant is said to have anti-inflammatory effects on the body, aids in pain relief, insomnia, muscle spasms, and is also suggested to have possible anti-tumor properties.

I love Myrcene for dealing with my period problems, it helps offset the discomfort I feel and allows me to fall asleep.

  • 3 Reasons Myrcene is the perfect terpene for periods
    1. Anti-Inflammatory
    2. Pain Relief
    3. Sleep Aid

I recommend Myrcene to anyone who is looking to end the pain and discomfort of periods. Give it a shot and let me know how you like it!

Cannabis LP suggestion: Peace Naturals (has a few Myrcene rich strains)
